VFX For Filmmakers: Using VFX in Making Your Film

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Feedback form is now closed.

Today’s independent Filmmaker wears many hats, Producer, Director, Crafty and often, VFX Artist. More and more the difference between a successful “Hero” shot is how well the filmmaker plans VFX in pre-production, and how successful he/she is at asking the right questions in an effort to getting quality “Hero” shots for their short or feature.

The Greater Cleveland Urban Film Festival in cooperation with MadWerkz is hosting a VFX for Indie Filmmakers Seminar @GCUFF on Tuesday Sept. 25th at 5:30pm at Shaker Cinemas. The workshop centers around the Do's and Don'ts, along with Tips and Tricks for the Indie Filmmaker in preparing a production to include VFX. Attendance is FREE with your GCUFF Festival Pass or Movie Ticket. Do you have a VFX question? If you're planning on attending the seminar, RSVP on the Event page and post your question there and we'll answer it at the seminar!

Sponsored by ActionVFX, BirthofaNotion, Capoeira Brasil of Cleveland, Indie Film Series, Unreal and Blender.

Topics we'll cover:
  • Step by Step breakdown of a Hollywood film "Hero" shot
  • How to accomplish that Hollywood "Hero" shot
